Early Pregnancy Complications

Surgical management of non-acute ectopic pregnancy:

  • This can be treated by laparoscopic (Key-hole) approach and performing salpingectomy.
  • At the time of surgery the condition of the other tube is assessed and salpingectomy or salpingostomy is performed.
  • Anti –D is administered to Rhesus negative women
  • If salpingostomy was performed a follow up with weekly ß-hCG until measurements return to normal .
